How every happy hour here is checked
Last Round is a free, live directory of happy hours in Malta. It answers one question — what's pouring right now, and near me — and it only lists a deal once the bar itself has confirmed it.
Who runs it
Me, Pepijn. I'm 24, Dutch, and I've lived in Dublin since I was 21. The idea for Last Round came from a trip to Malta, and I built the whole thing myself as a side project. I studied hotel management and worked front office at The Shelbourne and a Marriott before moving into tech, so hospitality is where I started. I love travelling, meeting new people and building things, and one day I want to run my own company. This is part of getting there.
Last Round isn't owned by a bar group, a drinks brand or a listings company, and no venue pays to be listed. The guides are mine too, written from the same verified data the map uses.
How a happy hour gets listed
- We contact the venue directly and confirm the exact days, start and end times, and what the deal includes.
- The listing goes live with the date it was confirmed, shown on the bar's own page.
- Anything we haven't been able to confirm isn't published — which is why some well-known bars are missing.
The current listings were last confirmed between 4 June 2026 and 13 October 2026.
Keeping it right
Deals change. Every bar page has a “Something wrong here?” link, and each report is re-checked with the bar by hand rather than applied automatically. Bar owners can send corrections themselves from a free venue dashboard — see for bars.
Whether a deal is “live” is worked out on every view against the current time in Malta, not from a stored status, so the list never shows yesterday's happy hour as running now.
What it doesn't cover
- Areas outside the 8 listed — including the Three Cities — until their venues are verified.
- A bar's regular opening hours. The times shown are happy-hour windows only; the bar's own Google listing is the source for when it opens.
- Reviews. Star ratings on bar pages are Google's, and are labelled as such.
- Food menus, bookings, club nights and tickets.
Advertising
Listing is free for every bar and always will be, and paying never changes a listing's times or deal. If a bar ever pays for a more prominent spot, it carries a visible “Promoted” label.
